 Rep. Jerry Nadler defeated his longtime colleague Rep. Carolyn Maloney in a contentious Democratic major Tuesday in New York’s newly drawn twelfth Congressional District, NBC Information tasks.

He is all however assured in November’s normal election to win the closely Democratic district, which merged Manhattan’s Higher West Aspect and Higher East Aspect into one and pitted the 2 long-serving lawmakers towards one another.
